what is the difference with edp spray pdp spray perfume & parfum also eaud toilet spray & cologhne?

The major difference is that these are different concentrations of perfume. Eau de toilette (EDT) is the lightest and freshest as it contains little fragrant oils in comparison to the amount of water/alcohol added. For every 100ml of quantity this is often the least expensive form of fragrance but it also doesn’t last very long on the skin (perhaps 1-2 hours).

Parfum (also known as “pure” perfume) is the most concentrated form of fragrance. It is mostly made up of fragrant oils and is diluted with very little or no alcohol/water. It lasts extremely well on the skin and the scent can often be detected on the skin over 24 hours later. It i, for a 100ml quanity (which would be very very expensive!) the most pricy form of fragrance but also the most economical. It isapplied (usually, but not always) in small drops on the pulse points e.g. wrists, behind the ears, behind the knees, decollete etc.

Eau de parfum is a concentration in between edt and parfum. It still contains a large quanity of fragrant oils but not as much as parfum. It is the most economical form of fragrance if you like something that lasts well on the skin (6-8 hours or more) but also something which you can spray freely onto the skin.

A cologne is very similar to an EDT. However, these usually have a fresh citrus note added to them. For example, if you compare Dior Homme and Dior Homme Cologne, these are essentially the same notes apart from the fresh lemon note you find in the cologne. In terms of concentration these can be more or less concentrated than an EDT. Colognes are very often unisex e.g. “4711″ and Dior’s “Escale A Portofino”.

The only other difference between eau de toilette, eau de parfum and parfum is as follows. You might be aware that there are top, middle and base notes in every fragrance. Top notes you smell first (within first 5 minutes), middle notes follow (within half hour or so) and the base notes are what remain lingering on the skin (over the course of the next few hours).

Eau de toilette – emphasis is on top notes, usually the fresh, light, citrus notes etc

Eau de parfum – emphasis is on the heart notes, usually floral, spices, woods etc

Parfum – emphasis is on the base notes, usually warm ambery, animalistic notes e.g amber, musk, some woods etc.

Im 17 years old by the way but money isn’t a problem. Im choosing between this or a spa treatment (I live in nyc). But I just wanted to know which of these perfumes would be most appropriate for her. I am aware some of these perfumes are over $200 but I want to give the best and I can afford it:

Which are definite no-no’s? As in not appropriate for her. And which should i narrow it down to? Im also bringing her out to a restaurant with my little brother and sister as well. Also, which would you like, spa treatment or perfume?
I would ask my parents but they don’t talk to my grandmother ever since they had a fight with her.

Well i asked my grandmother and she preferred the spa treatment but just in case you still want perfume, i searched every perfume on your list:
Bond No. 9 New York Bryant Park: this one might be too sweet smelling because it includes pink pepper, raspberry, rose, and other strong substances.

CHANEL Chance Eau Fraîche: this fragrance could be a good selection for your grandmother. It isn’t too strong. It has a cool floral scent. It supposedly smells the best when it dies down (smells like vanilla).

Estée Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia: this timeless, luxurious, and elegant fragrance would be an excellent choice. It got really good ratings. It has the scent of the actual flowers in nature.

Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Marc Jacobs: this one depends. If your grandmother is serious, then she won’t like it. If she is more playful, then she’ll love it. The sephora website gave an excellent description: “Enter the world of Daisy: fresh and feminine, with a playful innocence. At the heart of Daisy is a floral with vintage edge: violet. Sophisticated, with a touch of whimsy, violet captures the eclectic, vintage flavor of Marc Jacobs’ feminine, edgy designs. Always elegant, always enchanting – but not too serious – Daisy is a sparkling floral bouquet, spirited and fresh, wrapped in comfort and warmth.”

Prada Parfums Infusion d’Iris: this perfume might be a little too old lady. It contains hints of mandarin orange and iris. Its scent strength is moderate, it lasts 6-10 hours, its recommended use is casual, and its categorized for mature people.

Chloé Eau de Parfum: this fragrance got A LOT of bad reviews. To many people said it was something you have to get used to and was a VERY distinct and feminine.

Dior Diorissimo: this one got 4 ½ out of 5 stars. It is described as refreshing, flowery, romantic, tender, and carefree.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue: like the prada infusion perfume, this might be too “old lady” for a 53-year-old mostly because of the granny smith apple scent.

Estée Lauder Beyond Paradise: this one got 3 ½ out of 5 stars. Its a blend of tropical wetness, zesty freshness and a burst of floralcy. This one might be too young but the bottle is REALLY cool.

Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle Carnal Flower: VERY STRONG but exquisite scent. A few people said that if you spray it directly out of the bottle, then people around you will gasp for air. Haha.

Ralph Lauren Notorious: i dont think this one would be suitable for a 53-year-old. It may be colorless and sparkling but it’s known for its addictive and sensual scent.

Best Foundation For My Skin type?

I have very oily/acne prone skin. I also have acne scars.I want a medium to high coverage foundation that is not cakey. I have done some research and I have narrowed my choice down to a couple foundations. Which one should I choose?

all of these are very good choices. i would go with Nars or the MUFE one. if you want to use a brush then MAC has a good one that is only good for liquid foundations not sure of it’s number it is black with white tips (part natural hair and part synthetic hair) otherwise any sponge would do, just blend really well into the hair line and the jawbone down to the neck.
